WHY HAND SANITIZER?
FDA Guidance: "Hand hygiene is an important part of the U.S. response to COVID-19. Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds is essential, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after coughing, sneezing, or blowing one’s nose. If soap and water are not readily
available, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends consumers use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol (also referred to as ethanol or ethyl alcohol)."
HOW AND WHEN DO I USE HAND SANITIZER?
Per the CDC, washing hands with soap and water is the best way to get rid of germs in most situations. If soap and water are not readily available, you can use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizers may not be as effective when hands are visibly dirty or greasy.
When using hand sanitizer apply liberally to wet your hands completely. Rub sanitizer over all the surfaces of your hands and fingers until your hands are dry. This should take around 20 seconds.
